As someone who grew up playing the original Guild Wars alongside my brother and father, and then dabbled in Guild Wars 2 for a while, I cannot believe the game continues to innovative and improve annually. Following multiple expansions, the MMORPG community continues to shower the game with love, and rightfully so. Now, it’s time for another. Guild Wars 2’s latest expansion, Janthir Wilds, is out today!
As the most recent expansion to the long-running MMORPG, Janthir Wilds features a large assortment of content to keep players exploring its unique world. As far as features go, the expansion includes:
- Isles of Janthir — An all-new zone bustling with ruins, idyllic fields, and gorgeous scenery that begs for a screenshot or two before you delve into any of the area’s stories or quests.
- Homestead — The expansion offers players a chance to run a homestead, an account-wide personal instance with space for a home and land to decorate or farm as you wish. There are even gathering nodes for crafting-focused players!
- New Weapon — This expansion introduces a new weapon type for players to wield for the first time in the MMORPG’s lifespan. The two-handed spear is an aquatic and land-based weapon system that shakes up core gameplay.
- Warclaw — The new mount, exclusive to Janthir Wilds, is a massive cat-like creature with sharp talons and numerous abilities. Furthermore, the Warclaw features a unique Mastery line and quest to obtain the mount.
