It’s a bit of a bummer, considering how much time most of us spend on a single PMC, completing tasks and building out weapons we love to use, but it’s part of the Early Access process. So, did Gray Zone Warfare wipe with Winds of War? Here’s what you need to know!
Does Winds of War Include a Full Wipe?
Yes, unfortunately. Gray Zone Warfare Winds of War does come with a full wipe, as does every major content update for the game. These major updates typically occur twice per year since launch, approximately every six months, and each one will fully wipe player progress. But hey, starting fresh is part of the fun, right? Now you can check out all the new features and weapons with a blank slate!
When Can You Play Winds of War?
Gray Zone Warfare’s Winds of War content update is available right now over on Steam. It’s approximately a 10 GB download in size, and features a massive list of patch notes and brand-new features that enhance the tactical shooter in every way imaginable.

When is the Next Gray Zone Warfare Wipe?
You don’t have to worry too much about the next Gray Zone Warfare wipe, because it won’t occur for approximately six months from the time of this piece going live (5/22/2025). So, somewhere around the end of November, perhaps early December.
