Gray Zone Warfare: How to Complete Radio Silence

It seems Handshake offers the most tasks in Gray Zone Warfare. Immediately after Helping Hand’s completion, he’ll task you with Radio Silence. This time, you must track down an isolated house along the exterior of your starting town. Someone is broadcasting, and they shouldn’t be, so it’s your job to stop the transmission. Here is how to complete Radio Silence in Gray Zone Warfare!

How to Complete Radio Silence in Gray Zone Warfare

No matter your faction, the building in Radio Silence remains the same. It’s a two-story building on the outskirts of town, usually to the south, with a stone wall surrounding the exterior. Inside of the wall, you’ll stumble upon a few guards. If you approach from the rear, where there’s a gate left open, you can get the jump on them easily.

Once inside the structure, you should be free and clear to look around and loot. I didn’t stumble upon any more hostiles indoors.

Check the map screenshot above if you’re playing as part of Mithras Security Systems. That’s the precise location where you’ll find the isolated house with the radio equipment in Radio Silence. Otherwise:

  • Mithras 171,116 (Nam Thaven)
  • Crimson Shield 140, 164 (Kiu Vongsa)
  • Lamang Recovery 203, 164 (Pha Lang)

Once inside, head upstairs to the second floor, back corner bedroom to find the radio equipment stashed in the corner.

Hint: Don’t waste a bullet! I tried to shoot the radio equipment, thinking it would disable the device that way, but it didn’t. Walk up to the tablet on the left-hand side of the broadcaster, then interact (Hotkey: F) with the device. It’ll “sabotage” the radio.

Exit the way you came, then head for an extraction point to turn in the quest. Otherwise, keep exploring the starter town and tackle a few more quests!

Radio Silence Task Rewards

Handshake typically provides the best, most valuable rewards in the early game. I would expect no different from this quest. For finishing Radio Silence, you’ll receive:

  • Recon Tactical Rig
  • $2,300
  • 400 EXP
  • +100 Reputation

It’s all useful, especially the reputation and experience points. You must level up your player and the vendors to unlock additional equipment and tasks!
