Up to this point, the top-down persistent online war raging in indie game Foxhole was characterized by gritty land-based combat with the occasional bombardment from afar. But now, thanks to the Airborne update, Foxhole is taking to the skies. With a range of aircraft, paratroopers, a naval rework, and upgraded visuals to boot, this feels like one of the biggest and best updates to the game yet!
Seriously, this is a big one! Players interested in participating in airborne combat in Foxhole can now construct and operate squadrons of reconnaissance aircraft, fighter planes, and soaring bombers.
Alongside building and flying, players can, of course, participate in air-to-air battles, air-to-ground bombing runs, supply line disruption raids, and hangar and airfield construction/demolition on the ground below.
Oh, and we mentioned paratroopers, right? Yeah, you can jump out of an airplane and float majestically to the ground below, leading a behind-enemy-lines raid to capture enemy logistics and infrastructure!
