Fallout 76: Where to Get Brain Fungus

You will likely stumble upon various items in Fallout 76 that, at first glance, appear entirely useless. I mean, who is going to consume a fungus growing in a Mirelurk-infested abandoned house? We will, apparently. Here is where to get Brain Fungus in Fallout 76!

Where to Find Brain Fungus in Fallout 76

Why Brain Fungus? It’s one of Fallout 76’s most grotesque items you can and probably will consume. This raw fungus appears eerily similar to that of a brain, hence the name, and satisfies a bit of hunger. But conversely, it also doses you with radiation and increases your risk of disease. But you can cook it to help alleviate some of the concerns!

You can find Brain Fungus primarily throughout the Cranberry Bog and The Mire, paying particular attention to the following points of interest:

  • Wendigo Cave
  • Kerwood Mine
  • Big Bend Tunnel West
  • Big Bend Tunnel East
  • Uncanny Caverns
  • Gauley Mine
  • Fort Defiance
  • Emmet Mountain Disposal Site

If you require a lot of Brain Fungus, check Wendigo Cave and Kerwood Mine, as they spawn copious amounts. The former will often contain approximately 100 samples to scoop up!
