As a multiplayer-centric Fallout game, Fallout 76 offers a lot in terms of personalization and customization. You can create a character, choose your weapons and armor, and even deck your profile with unique player icons that suit your style and theme. But as you unlock more, you’ll likely want an update. Here is how to change your player icon in Fallout 76!
How to Change Your Player Icon in Fallout 76
To change your player icon in Fallout 76, visit the Atomic Shop from the main menu. Here, you’ll scroll down to Icons on the left-hand menu, and there, you’ll find countless icons from throughout the Fallout franchise. To change your current icon, select one that is available to you, then hit “A” on the controller or “Enter” on the keyboard to equip the icon.
There are some unlocked by default, available to all players free just for playing the game, but most will remain locked for the time being. More on that in a moment, though!

Where to Get New Player Icons in Fallout 76
You can unlock brand-new player icons in the same menu. Those who have yet to unlock will appear with a bright picture and a prompt to unlock or purchase the icon. Most icons require Atoms, which do cost real money to purchase. However, I can’t think of anyone who buys Atoms intending to purchase player icons; they’re usually bought with leftovers.
Alternatively, some challenges and the game’s seasonal battle pass system allow you to unlock player icons simply for partaking in community events, slaying monsters, or completing tasks/quests in the game world.
