Almost everything you do or construct in Fabledom requires gold coins as payment. You’ll start each game with a few, enough to found your settlement, but anything past that is up to you. Here is how to increase taxes in Fabledom, along with how to collect and keep the money flowing forth!
How to Increase Taxes in Fabledom
First and foremost, you’ll earn increasingly more taxes in Fabledom by expanding your village. For every citizen you have in your township, you’ll earn taxes. The higher the standing of the citizen, the more you earn. For example, a Peasant will provide approximately four coins per tax collection period. As you upgrade to Commoners and Nobles, you’ll earn more money.

As you expand, you’ll inevitably want to start charging more taxes from your citizenry to help fund additional structures and expansions. To increase taxes in Fabledom, you require a Bank to unlock tax controls via the Town Overview menu, which you can find at the bottom of your HUD.

How to Build a Bank in Fabledom
To build a Bank in Fabledom, you must meet a few requirements. Namely, you must reach Big Town—a mid-game achievement. Then, once you meet those requirements, you can build a Bank for:
- x30 Wood
- x30 Stone
Like most other buildings in the game, the Bank does require upkeep in the form of 5 coins. But at the same time, it increases durability by +5 and employs 3 Commoners, so it’s useful for a bustling township!
