Fabledom: How to Assign Workers

If you want a thriving kingdom, it begins and ends with your workers. Without workers running the various industries and shops, you won’t have a kingdom, so learn how to utilize your peasants properly. Here is how to assign workers in Fabledom!

How to Assign Workers in Fabledom

You can assign workers in Fabledom by selecting the building you wish to fill. When you choose a building by right-clicking on the structure itself, a new menu will appear on the right-hand side of your HUD. Here, you’ll note the plus icons on the bottom. If you click on one or both of these for the Laborers Hut, it automatically assigns an available worker to the workplace.

You can also remove a worker in Fabledom by following the same path, but instead of clicking the plus icon, click the little red ‘X’ beside the currently assigned worker. They’ll swiftly lose their job, but you can assign another available worker with another click. While there is no workforce within the structure, the building won’t function.

Where to Assign Workers First in Fabledom

If you follow the game’s tutorial, it will explain precisely where to assign workers. But if you’re anything like us, you probably don’t want to wait for a tutorial to teach you the game’s mechanics. You want to dive in headfirst to learn for yourself!

First and foremost, assign workers to your Laborers Hut—an essential structure necessary to transport resources and erect new buildings in your settlement. In the early game, you can get away with a single worker assigned to the Laborers Hut. As you expand your settlement, you’ll want to assign a second to keep up with the workflow.

Secondly, you want to get your industry up and running promptly. Focus efforts on erecting a farm with at least 30 plots of vegetables to feed your bustling township. Then, move on to the wood and stone you’ll require to expand and construct additional buildings.

For all of these structures, a single worker will suffice for now!
