I spent more than 300 hours conquering the world in Europa Universalis IV, now watch me do it again when Europa Universalis V releases this Fall. But before that can happen, map painters the world over must prepare. To that end, here’s everything included in the Europa Universalis V Premium Edition!
What’s Included in the Europa Universalis V Premium Edition?
If you decide to buy the Premium Edition, which, let’s face it, most long-time fans of the map-painting franchise likely will, you’ll save approximately 20% on the content included. For context, it’s $84.99 for the Europa Universalis V Premium Edition. It includes:
- Europa Universalis V
- Sacred Sites
- Upon purchasing the Premium Edition, you will receive a cosmetic pack that adds eight historical holy sites to the Europa Universalis V game map.
- Fate of the Phoenix (Immersion Pack – Q2 2026)
- Restore and revive Roman power as the Byzantine Empire in this Immersion Pack. It includes new means to stand up against the rising Ottoman threat in Anatolia, chances to reunite a broken Christian church and maybe even restore the glory that once was Rome.
- Across the Pillars (Chronicle Pack – Q3 2026)
- Drop yourself into the climactic struggle for the future of the Iberian peninsula in this Chronicle Pack, as a rising Castile asserts itself to evict the last successors of Moorish dominance in the region. Or, as Morocco, beat back the armies from the north and re-establish your dominance over the strategically vital Strait of Gibraltar.
- The Auld Alliance (Chronicle Pack – Q4 2026)
- This Chronicle Pack adds new historical content and flavor for France and Scotland, two nations bound together by a mutual distrust of the English crown. Consolidate your power by uniting these divided realms and explore unique historical situations for each.
Can You Upgrade to the Premium Edition?
You may! If you purchase the Standard Edition for $59.99, find that unleashing a little ’tism is tons of fun (Welcome to the club!), and then want to upgrade to the Premium Edition, you can purchase the Premium Upgrade on Steam for $39.99.
Yeah, it’s still expensive, but you’ll receive everything included in the Premium Edition for EUV upon paying for the upgrade path!
When Does the EUV Premium Edition Release?
Europa Universalis V Premium Edition will launch alongside the Standard Edition on November 4.
As of right now, there is no Advanced Access or early release bonus for pre-ordering the game.
As long-time fans of Paradox Interactive’s grand strategy titles, you can bet The Guide Hall intends to cover Europa Universalis V thoroughly pre-release and after launch, with guides, walkthroughs, and gameplay!
