Virtue, or “behavior showing high moral standards,” isn’t an arbitrary stat in Dustland Delivery. It’s a vital aspect of the core gameplay, unlocking new content, interactions, and outcomes in everyday scenarios you’ll encounter on the road. Here is how to gain Virtue in Dustland Delivery!
How to Get Virtue
To get Virtue in Dustland Delivery, you must choose wisely whenever you encounter a decision in the game. Some random encounters, such as stumbling upon a merchant selling wares out of the back of a vehicle, have multiple choices. You can trade, leave them be, or rob them. If you choose the latter, you’ll lose Virtue.
But occasionally, some of the game’s choices will alert you to any change in your overall Virtue. Beside the dialogue or action choice, you’ll see something along the lines of “Virtue +1” or “Virtue -1” for the choice. Pay close attention to encounters!
Furthermore, how you approach specific quests in the game alters your overall Virtue. If you stay within the confines of the law of the wasteland, helping people, not tricking or harming anyone, then you’ll find your Virtue steadily rising.
So, the gist of Virtue in Dustland Delivery is to act kindly and help your fellow survivors to gain more!
How to Check Your Virtue
You can check a character’s Virtue anytime by clicking their character portrait from the bottom of the HUD. Doing so will open their character sheet, where you can check various skills, attributes, and other key stats that affect gameplay.
You’ll find your overall Virtue for that character on the left-hand side of the character sheet, marked on the screenshot above. Each character will have their own Virtue value, and a lower Virtue on one character can affect the entire party negatively.

Why You Need Virtue in Dustland Delivery
You’ll encounter numerous situations throughout Dustland Delivery that require Virtue to ensure a positive outcome. You may stumble upon a random encounter, a choice-driven situation, in which a high Virtue can see everyone come out alive on the other side, perhaps with a bit of Scrap.
Occasionally, you’ll find unique characters within towns and settlements that won’t speak to you unless you have a certain amount of Virtue. The same can be said about some of the game’s factions.
