As you leisurely roam the castle grounds and hallways in search of rare loot, fighting away knee-high goblins and soaring vampire bats, the thought of extracting alive is tickling at the back of your mind. It’s the ultimate goal, but one that sometimes feels too far out of reach. Well, here is how to extract in Dungeonborne!
How to Extract in Dungeonborne
There are multiple ways to extract in Dungeonborne, the most common of which are the escape portals that spawn randomly across the map. When you approach the glowing blue magical circle on the ground, you can walk up and activate the portal, summoning the exit.
When you do, however, be ready. Activating an extraction portal will automatically alert nearby players to your presence unless you carry a Ritual Scroll. Anyone in the vicinity can rush to your location, slay you, take your loot, and escape through the portal you summoned.
Alternatively, if you open your map in-game, you’ll note blue portal icons marking locations scattered about the dungeon. If you travel to one of these portal icons, you’ll find a dedicated portal room, which does not require activation. They open automatically, but only for a limited time.
The catch to these portal rooms is that there are only two in the dungeon. If another player uses one, it closes entirely, and no other player can use that portal room to escape.

How to Extract As a Group in Dungeonborne
It is entirely possible to extract as a group in Dungeonborne. To do so, find a room that spawns multiple extraction portals so that every player in your party may summon one and exit the dungeon.
Alternatively, there is a rare trio portal that, once activated by a single player, spawns three exit portals simultaneously. Then, the whole party may walk through and escape with their loot.
It takes patience and coordination to escape as a group!
