As in past expansions, Dredge doesn’t hold your hand. When there’s something new to explore, you must use intuition and a keen sense of direction to track down the location. Unless that is, you have us to help you. Here is how to start The Iron Rig in Dredge!
How to Begin The Iron Rig
To start The Iron Rig DLC in Dredge, head north to the point marked on the map below, between Twisted Strand and Devil’s Spine. As you approach the area, you’ll note a series of lights jutting up into the sky, seemingly unnaturally.
As you grow closer, the shape of the oil rig comes into view, and you’ll spot an additional series of buoy lights in the ocean leading up to the dock.
Park at the dock at the very bottom of the rig, then use the Cargo Elevator to reach the top floor. You’ll be greeted by the Foreman, who will explain more about the rig itself. He also explains that they’re behind schedule due to supply issues. On your approach to the rig, you might have noticed a new item floating in the water: Ironhaven Crates.
So, your first Pursuit of The Iron Rig begins! You must help the Foreman resupply the rig and get back on track.

Where to Find Ironhaven Crates
For the first step in your new Pursuit, the Foreman requires assistance repairing the oil rig’s generator. For that, he needs two Ironhaven Crates. Thankfully, they’re not far off.
The Foreman will mark a few locations on your map, but the most accessible spot to find the crates is the nearby island off the coast of Twisted Strand. Along the shore, you’ll spot a bundle of crates bobbing in the water. If you float up, you can start the dredging minigame to pull a crate or two up to the surface.
I’ve only ever found one or two crates per location, so watch for additional dredging spots!
Furthermore, it’s important to note that while the Foreman did mark a few locations where you can find Ironhaven Crates, they pop up regularly in the same spots where other dredging locations may. You’ll find random Crates along the shore across the archipelago!
