It’s always fun to customize your character in a video game. Even if that game is first-person, where you never truly see your character. It’s just a little bit of personalization that players like us appreciate. So, here is how to change outfits in Dead Island 2!
How to Change Your Outfit in Dead Island 2
To change your outfits in Dead Island 2, visit the Storage Locker in a safe house, like Emma Jaunt’s mansion. It’s on the first floor beside the Workbench in the living room. Simply walk up and interact with the Storage Locker, then select “Cosplay.” Yeah, the outfits in the game are known as “cosplay,” which is strange. Maybe I’m just getting old.
Alternatively, you can change your character’s outfit from the main menu by selecting “Extras” and then “Cosplay.” It’s the same process as in-game via the Storage Locker, where you can choose an outfit. Once you select your fit, save and load into the game.

How to Unlock New Outfits in Dead Island 2
Unfortunately, it appears as if the only way to unlock new outfits in Dead Island 2 is to purchase cosmetic DLC packs from the store. Each pack sells for $4.99 per character pack, and there are six in total, including:
- Silver Star Jacob
- Cyber Slayer Amy
- Gaelic Queen Dani
- Jungle Fantasy Ryan
- Steel Horse Carla
- Venice Vogue Bruno
You’ll unlock some of these packs as part of the game’s Expansion Pass, which is sold separately or as a bundle in the Gold Edition. However, the Expansion Pass doesn’t feature all character packs, which is unfortunate, expensive, and downright tacky.
