I don’t know about you, but I love a lengthy single-player story that I can sink my teeth into. Losing yourself in an enthralling story full of zombies and gore is a ton of fun. With that in mind, how long does it take to beat Dead Island 2?
How Long is Dead Island 2’s Story?
If you’re interested in purely focusing on the story without delving into the side content or just messing about, then you can beat Dead Island 2 in approximately 15 hours. It’s a somewhat short experience, and that’s not necessarily bad. We don’t always need a 100-hour single-player story.
However, if you choose to trek off the beaten path for some side content, such as quests and collectibles, you can expect to play Dead Island 2 for up to 38 hours or more on a single playthrough. However, I imagine many of us zombie-slaying fans will put far more time into the game!

How Long to Beat the Dead Island 2 DLC?
If you purchase the Gold Edition or Expansion Pass, you’ll also receive the Haus and SoLA DLC alongside the main campaign. These will add to your game time by approximately 5 hours for SoLA and 3 hours for Haus.
Overall, they’re pretty short experiences. Both offer additional areas to explore, new weapons to collect, and novel ideas that don’t overstay their welcome.
