As you continue your journey, completing each step in the game’s tutorial, you’ll hit something of a wall. It asks you to collect 100 Ambrosia Dust in Dawn of Defiance to proceed. But what is that, and where do you get it?
How to Get Ambrosia Dust in Dawn of Defiance
There are three ways to acquire Ambrosia Dust in Dawn of Defiance: slaying monsters, picking flowers, and opening treasure chests. That’s all easier said than done, though. In particular, slaying monsters—the Lost and Abandoned, which are goblin-like beings—proves somewhat challenging as they spawn inside caves and mines during the day and roam the world at night, always in groups of two or three. You’ll almost always face an archer or two and a front-line charger who keeps you on your toes.
Secondly, when the game turns to night, don’t lie in bed to rest and skip the dark hours. Instead, head outside of your haven and search the area for purple flowers. These will provide you with Ambrosia Dust. I found they spawn most often in the woods on the northern half of the Isle of Arrival.
Lastly, you’ll score the occasional haul of Ambrosia Dust inside treasure chests scattered about the island. There’s usually one at the end of each cave and mine, too. That’s where I score most of mine!
