If you want to leave the starting island in Dawn of Defiance, you must complete the series of tutorial quests, some of which prove more challenging and confusing than others. For instance, the Place of Power questline. Here is how to restore the Spearless Statue in Dawn of Defiance!
What You Need to Restore the Spearless Statue
As part of the starting island’s tutorial questline, Dawn of Defiance will task you with Place of Power II, where you must restore the Spearless Statue. Looking toward the sky, you can find all of the Places of Power on the Isle of Arrival. They’re marked with a glowing blue light shooting up into the sky. The Spearless Statue is in the island’s northern half, atop a hill with five Soldiers guarding the area.
But before you go looking for a fight, head back to base and place down a Crafting Station using your Building Hammer. Once you have one, access its crafting menu and look for the Giant Stone Spear (x7 Stone). You only require Stone to craft this unique item, and it’s the key component to restore the Spearless Statue in Dawn of Defiance.
With the Giant Stone Spear in your inventory, clear the hostiles from the area, then walk up to the stone statue at the back of the temple. You may interact with it to place the Giant Stone Spear, and upon doing so, a brazier in the center rises from the ground. Light this brazier with Ambrosia Dust to complete the quest.

Rewards for Restoring the Spearless Statue
You’ll receive the Dash ability upon igniting the brazier with the Ambrosia Dust. It allows you to boost through the air by leaping and then hitting the dodge button (Hotkey: CTRL) while in mid-air. It’s a fantastic way to get around the rocky environment and an excellent opening maneuver to jump on unsuspecting enemies and land the first hit in combat!
