At this point, there are very few strategy titles published by Hooded Horse that I don’t own. They’re the type of publisher who genuinely loves gaming, especially strategy and tactics games, and it shows in every move they make. Today, we’re excited to announce another acquisition for the company. Well, two. Hooded Horse now stands as the publisher for the renowned survival horror title Darkwood and the cult craze Battle Brothers!
As of the press release that went out, Hooded Horse is integrating Darkwood and Battle Brothers, specifically the PC versions, into its publishing ecosystem.
Before you get too excited, these acquisitions don’t mean additional content for either game. Instead, Hooded Horse offers long-term commercial support, helping both teams reach wider audiences with future releases.
On the topic of both games, Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender said:
We’ve absolutely loved worked with these studios; it’s been a joy to partner up on MENACE and Darkwood 2. We’re so thrilled that they have enjoyed working with us as well and want to continue and deepen that relationship to their past games.”
If you’re out of the loop, you can purchase Battle Brothers via Steam and GOG, and Darkwood is available on Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store.
Currently, this partnership does not count toward the console versions of the games, however.
