Did you know you can play Cyberpunk 2077 for free? Previously, the open-world role-playing game with its cyberpunk aesthetic would set you back $59.99 for the base game and an additional $29.99 for the Phantom Liberty expansion, and it’s worth that price nowadays. However, what if you’re still on the fence? You can try the game for a limited period to discover why everyone loves Cyberpunk 2077 these days!
How to Play Cyberpunk 2077 Free
Developer CD Projekt RED feels confident in their most recent updates and Phantom Liberty, and rightfully so, as it’s fantastic. The open-world RPG is finally in an excellent spot, and I would dare say it’s a must-play. But if you want to enjoy it risk-free for a short period, here are the details!
The Cyberpunk 2077 Free Trial includes the base game, not the expansion, and begins on March 28th at 8:00 AM PDT and concludes on March 21st at 11:59 PM PDT.
However, there are a few conditions. You can enjoy the base game for five hours with no subscription and price tag. Unfortunately, that’s not enough time to experience everything Night City offers. Depending on your playstyle and how quickly you consume content, you can complete the prologue and tackle a few missions and side objectives within the open world.
Furthermore, this free trial is only available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, not for PC!

Is Cyberpunk 2077 Worth It in 2024?
I made the mistake of pre-ordering Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 4, and I sorely regret the experience as it marred my overall enjoyment of the game. It wasn’t until years later, with the announcement of Phantom Liberty, that I genuinely dove in and enjoyed the gameplay.
Nowadays, I’ll admit that Cyberpunk 2077 is within my five top favorite games of all time. I think it’s worth every penny of the full price tag, though if you can score it cheap, like half-off on sale, it’s an absolute steal!
There’s so much content to enjoy, with a lengthy campaign that offers multiple endings, the highly-regarded expansion, countless side quests and activities, and Panam!
The Guide Hall adores Cyberpunk 2077 these days and excitedly awaits your impressions following this free trial period. We’ll have some guides for the game going live soon!
