It’s an age-old tale. You’re trying to run a successful business—a car manufacturing company—but you can’t figure out how to order the proper parts to assemble a vehicle on the line. Your workers are lolly-gagging, and you’re running out of time to turn a profit. Well, here is how to order parts in Car Manufacture!
How to Order Parts
Once you finish constructing a workspace for your mechanics and plop down a few Assembly Lines, what then? Up until this point, if you’re at all like us, you probably spend a bit of time clicking random icons, hoping to find the next step. Let us help you!
To order parts in Car Manufacture, first place down your Assembly Line, then open your build menu (the wrench icon in the bottom right of the HUD), and drag out a small section of your workshop to create a Storage Zone. I recommend placing it in the corner of your Assembly Line structure so that mechanics won’t have to travel far to acquire parts for your orders.
Once you have the Storage Zone, construct a few Storage Pallets. A good rule of thumb is that you want one pallet per Assembly Line, as they’ll automatically connect to one to make ordering parts easier.
With the proper items in place, click the Storage Pallet, then select “Create Order” under Suggested Orders on the tab. It’s intuitive, so the Storage Pallet will automatically pull from whichever blueprint you selected for your Assembly Line, creating a list of required parts to keep production running smoothly. Click “Place Order” at the bottom, then let your workers do their jobs!

How to Check Parts Stock
While most production automates for you, it’s sometimes helpful to know precisely how much you spend on parts and production and what you have in storage.
To check parts stocks, click on the Storage Pallet you previously constructed, then choose “Content.” Here, you’ll see a comprehensive list of all available parts in your storage network and what the team is currently waiting on following an order.
