When I opened my email this morning, I wasn’t expecting a press release unveiling Blackwood gameplay quite so soon. The game was only revealed a short while ago, with its announcement taking the gaming community by storm. It’s a John Wick-like game set in Brooklyn, with gun-fu-style action-packed gameplay that I’m absolutely here for. The best part? It’s looking positively promising based on the gameplay we saw in the latest trailer!
After watching the gameplay reveal multiple times, I’m both impressed and cautious. As indicated in the video warning, this is all alpha gameplay footage. It’s a work-in-progress, and that shows, honestly. Some of the movement appears stiff, animations require tuning, and gunplay doesn’t seem to offer much impact or oomph.
Despite these criticisms, I’m absolutely here for the game. It’s on my Steam Wishlist, and I’m eagerly awaiting more. It’s a day-one buy!
