Bellwright: How to Get Reeds

You’ll note that Bellwright features a massive number of resources, crafting recipes, and structures to construct in your little hamlet. As you progress, more become available. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t quite tell you where to find anything. You must explore. Or, let us teach you how to get River Reeds in Bellwright!

Where to Get Reeds in Bellwright

To craft several useful recipes, such as Linen, you require a large number of River Reed in Bellwright. But, as its name might suggest, you can only find this crafting resource by the water. And if you look around, you might note this land is somewhat devoid of running water. It’s pretty dire. But there’s hope because just to the south of Haerndean, on the way to Padstow, you can find a lake with several fishing huts and even more River Reed growing along its banks.

You can step down into the tall grass along the edge of the lake to gather a large number of River Reed. Each one requires a 1×1 slot in your inventory, so you grab quite a few before returning to your village. Don’t worry about a fish biting your toes; it didn’t happen to me, so it likely won’t happen to you.

Once you have a whole bunch of River Reed, return to your village, research, and build a Weaver Loom. It requires River Reeds, Wood, and Stone to construct. Once you have a Loom, which comes with a Weaver Table, you can truly use Reeds.

You’ll primarily use Reeds to craft Linen, which you may turn into various clothing options to help you and your villagers survive the coming winter. It’s a great big circle, but a necessary one.
