How to Get Thatch in ASKA
While you won’t require Thatch in ASKA immediately, it does come in handy as you progress deeper into the game’s core mechanics. More specifically, once you have followers and construct a village, you will need Thatch for roofing.
Building up a Viking settlement is a big part of the game; you’ll require Thatch in abundance, but it’s not the most essential resource. As it requires so much space in your inventory, we recommend you don’t pick up too much.

Where to Find Reeds in ASKA
Like in other survival-crafting titles, such as Valheim, you can find Reeds in ASKA by searching for tall, wheat-like plants near water. They typically grow within tall grass, making them tough to spot from a distance.
Once you’re up close and personal, you’ll know it’s a Reed. Just walk up, use the interact button to harvest the Reeds, and then secure a bit of Thatch for your construction projects. However, it’s important to note that you’ll receive one Thatch for every Reed you harvest, which takes up a single slot in your inventory. It all adds up extremely quickly!
