1000xResist is a story-driven game with multiple timelines and protagonists. The setting is a far-off future where humanity has ended, and only a race of teenage girl clones remains. These clones constantly fear attack from the “occupants,” a group of unseen extraterrestrial beings who inhabit the Earth’s surface.
At the center of these clones is the Allmother—the original specimen from which all the clones were created. You begin the journey as Watcher, a clone with the function of viewing and communing with the other clones. But as Watcher learns more about humanity’s past, she discovers that the Allmother isn’t as noble or just as she presents herself.
What Happened To The World In 1000xResist?

In 1000xResist, we learn that the world has been destroyed by a group of aliens known as the occupants. The occupants themselves didn’t kill humanity but rather brought with them a strange disease that caused a worldwide sickness. Each person would fall ill, crying uncontrollably, until they eventually cried themself to death.
The occupants arrived on Earth in 2048, and every person on Earth was affected by the virus except one high schooler—a precocious teen girl named Iris. A group of government agents take a willing Iris to a secret bunker deep under the Pacific Ocean.
Who Is Iris In 1000xResist?

Iris is a teenage girl who is immune to the occupants’ virus. After studying her, the agents find a way to clone her using strands of her hair. They initially create only a handful of clones, whom Iris refers to as sisters, and the sisters refer to Iris as the ALLMOTHER.
Who Are The Sisters In 1000xResist?

The sisters are clones of Iris. The primary sisters are Fixer, Healer, Principal, Bang Bang Fire, Knower, and Watcher. Over time, more and more clones are made. The clones without a function are called shells and exist only to populate the underground society, while each sister with a function carries out a duty represented by their name.
The Knower controls the library and all knowledge of the previous world. Bang Bang Fire, or BBF, is in charge of the military. The Principal is the leader of the sisters. The Healer acts as the sister’s chief medical officer. The Fixer is an engineer who keeps their home safe and functional. The Watcher’s only function is to observe the other sisters. By doing her function, the Watcher becomes disillusioned with the ALLMOTHER, eventually killing her.
What Did Watcher Learn About The ALLMOTHER?

The Watcher learned through communions with the other sisters, viewing ALLMOTHERS’ past, that Iris had worked with the Occupants to destroy all of humankind. Not only that, but Iris had developed a god complex.
The first clones, like Iris, were immune to the virus. When the original Watcher, a clone Iris affectionately called youngest, disobeyed Iris’s one command, Iris took away their immunity—forcing all subsequent clones to wear masks at all times.

What Happens After Watcher Kills ALLMOTHER?

After Watcher kills ALLMOTHER, the player is given control of another clone, Blue, many years later. After ALLMOTHER’s death, Principal assumes control of the sisters. She creates a paramilitary regime and rules over all the sisters.
Blue learns that Principal is Youngest, the original sister that ALLMOTHER wronged. Youngest had set up Watcher, spreading misinformation to Watcher through the communions, which eventually led to Watcher killing ALLMOTHER. Learning this, Blue sets a plan to destroy Principal and works with Fixer, Healer, BBF, and a badly injured Watcher to accomplish this.
Does Blue Succeed In Killing Youngest?

Blue’s initial plan, a homemade bomb, does not succeed in destroying Youngest. However, with the help of the function sisters, she can view the past and commune with the Occupiers.
Blue learns that the Occupants communicate through emotion. Sensing overwhelming emotions on Earth, they attempt to communicate with the people of Earth. This, however, only causes the plague that kills every human on the planet. The people of Earth, overwhelmed by the emotion communicated to them through the Occupants, cry themselves to death.
How Does the 1000xResist Story End?

Once Blue learns of the Occupants, Youngest, and the ALLMOTHER, an Occupant gives Blue a choice. Behind Blue stands all the different factions she has met along her journey. Blue must choose to extinguish some or all of the groups before her. She then sets forth on her journey with the remaining groups of allies.
There are numerous endings depending on which groups the player decides to kill and keep. If the player chooses to keep one of the traitorous groups, they are immediately killed and asked to make a new choice. The game does not allow you to choose to save everyone.
How Do You Get The Good Ending In 1000xResist?

The best ending comes from extinguishing the light on the groups that have betrayed you and keeping those that have helped. Principal, her red army, and Mauve, a treacherous sister, must all be extinguished. The player will then get a short epilogue where they can view remnants of the past in an empty underground bunker.
The last scene of the game shows Blue exiting the underground structure where society has lived for the past thousand years. She is reunited with the people she chose to save, and they set off to start the world anew.
The Guide Hall can’t get enough of the complexities within the 1000xResist story, and we’ll have more on the game in the coming days!
